I really believe that using quality hair care products can do wonders for your hair. They are usually gentler in my experience, which is really needed when you have fine, colour processed blonde hair, like myself! Any colour processed hair will need some additional TLC, so when I saw a promotional deal available on my all-time favourite evo Fabuloso Platinum Blonde Colour Intensifying Conditioner (a toning treatment for blonde hair, which is the bomb!) and the Preserve Colour Maintenance Shampoo which I hadn’t tried, I snapped it up! The description sounded great – gentle, nourishing and perfectly suited for coloured and damaged hair.

Key Ingredients: sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate, hydrolyzed quinoa, glycerin, panthenol.
It could be a good shampoo for keeping dark pigment in your hair (like reds, which wash out very easily) as it is formulated for coloured and processed hair, but unfortunately I can’t test this out for you guys.
Ingredients: Sodium lauroyl methyl isethionate, hydrolyzed quinoa, glycerin, panthenol, aqua, glycol distearate, cocamidopropyl betaine, acrylates copolymer, sodium lauroyl sarcosinate, laureth-2, peg/ppg-120/10 trimethylolpropane trioleate, polyester-11, silicone quaternium-16, fragrance (parfum), citric acid, methylisothiazolinone, phenethyl alcohol, ppg-2-methyl ether, tetrasodium edta, sodium hydroxide, sodium pca, guar hydroxypropyltrimonium chloride, quaternium-95, propanediol, undeceth-11, butyloctanol,laureth-4, undeceth-5, mica, titanium dioxide, linalool, limonene, geraniol, citronellol, butylphenyl methylpropional.
I love the gold, bling-y packaging. The tube looks massive but it’s just the shape of the tube that makes you think it’s bigger than your usual shampoo bottle (OTT fits with the bling!). You get a standard 250ml of product for $39.99. I like evo as a brand and that they are socially conscious, e.g. all their products are made using recyclable materials, they don’t test on animals, any damaged stock is given away to homeless shelters and they source ingredients that don’t damage the environment and that are sustainably harvested. Their products are free from sulphates, parabens, dea, tea and propylene glycol.
The shampoo wasn’t a win for me, but I still look forward to trying their other products!
Have you tried this shampoo beauties? Are you a fan of evo?
Catch ya next time!
